Guernsey Round Up – November

GUERNSEY ROUND UP – November A month with vey few scheduled fixtures and they were reduced by one when the only game on the opening Saturday, between Belgrave Wanderers and Vale Recreation was postponed, presumably due to the weather which, if it was anything like that experienced on the mainland South Coast would have been perfectly understandable. One game in midweek with Vale Rec defeating Rangers by five goals to…

Joe Blackham started the ball rolling with a cool finish after just six minutes and Marian Staite added a second midway through the half. A sublime pass by Staite and superb finish by Ross Benfield made it…

No goals in the first half but after the break Ciaran Stretton gave us the lead but Rec quickly levelled things and it was back to square one. Josh Concanen thumped a header against the bar…

After a three-week gap for Christmas and the New Year the Priaulx League re-commenced in the first week of January with three games on the Friday evening and one – ours – on the Saturday. Northerners beat the luckless Belgrave Wanderers six one – the latter have now conceded fifty-five goals in the League so far – and wins for our nearest rivals at the top of the table, St….
