Guernsey Sylvans overcame Alderney Nomads in a 4-2 victory at Mount Hale on the northern isle despite 2 goals from man of the match Joe Blackham who is sponsored by Wolverhampton Wanderers Life member Robin Whicker. Joe Blackham was presented the man of the match award by sponsors Linda and Leslie Aldis (West Ham supporters & Life Members) whose support for Alderney has been fantastic.

Both teams observed one minutes’ silence before the start of the game for Remembrance Sunday.
Sylvans Hutchison had an ‘early bath’ after being given a red card by referee Tony Sarre for retaliating and over-reacting after a scuffle with a Nomads defender. Jermaine Parry was also sent off during the game. Nomads should have closed the gap but Dante Walker missed a penalty early in the second half .
Even though both teams are lower down in the Priaulx league it was hard-fought evenly balanced match with six goals and a missed penalty. The stamina of the younger red-shirts just gave them the edge at the end.
